ABC FAMILY ANNOUNCES SECOND SEASON ORDER OF THE ORIGINAL SCRIPTED SERIES ‘WILDFIRE’ FROM LIONS GATE TELEVISION
PRODUCTION ON 13 ONE-HOUR EPISODES TO BEGIN THIS FALL
Burbank, CA (August 15, 2005) — ABC Family has picked up a second season of the original drama series, WILDFIRE, it was announced today by Paul Lee, president, ABC Family. A total of 13 one-hour episodes will be produced for the second season order with production set to begin this fall in New Mexico. The drama, produced by Lions Gate Television in association with Piller² and The Segan Company, centers on the struggles of a young woman (played by newcomer Genevieve Cortese) to turn her life around. The series also stars veteran actor Dennis Weaver ("McCloud"), Greg Serano (“Kingpin”), Nana Visitor (“Star Trek: Deep Space Nine”), Micah Alberti ("All My Children"), Andrew Hoeft, James Read, Ryan Sypek and Nicole Tubiola.
"We are thrilled to be renewing WILDFIRE," said Lee. "WILDFIRE has done tremendously well for us, drawing in key demos week after week and serving as a great launching pad for BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE. Gen Cortese is fabulous in the lead – our audiences just love this show."

The series continues to deliver strong ratings for its seventh original episode; posting its best numbers since week two with a 1.6 HH rating and 2.0 million total viewers. Season-to-date, WILDFIRE has increased its time period delivery double and triple digits, versus year-ago in all key demos. The series increased 100% in HH rating (1.6 vs. 0.8), 96% in total viewers (1,935,000 vs. 986,000), 75% with Adults 18-34 (0.7 vs. 0.4), 50% with Adults 18-49 (0.6 vs. 0.4), and 167% with teens 12-17 (2.4 vs. 0.9).
WILDFIRE follows eighteen-year-old Kris Furillo (Cortese) who, after serving time at a juvenile detention center, is given the opportunity to start a new life. Her talent with horses is recognized by a volunteer and local trainer (Serano), who arranges a job for her at the Ritter's family run ranch.
WILDFIRE is produced by Lions Gate Television in association with Piller² and The Segan Company. Michael Piller (“The Dead Zone,” "Star Trek: The Next Generation"), Lloyd Segan (“The Dead Zone,” "The Bachelor," "Boondock Saints," "Bones") and Marjorie David (“Dark Angel,” “Chicago Hope”) serve as executive producers.

wildfire is unbelieveable. it captures everything you want in a tv show.. reality, comedy, drama, truth, and a fun side. i am sooo excited about the 2nd season... now i have something to do every monday for awhile! this show will hold tons of viewers till the very end. its actors are so incrediable. wildfire will last for years to come.

This show kicks butt! I hope this show stays on air for a long time, i'm addicted to it already, and I never miss an eposode and don't intend on doin it anytime soon! Keep the great work up, and keep producing great storylines!

OMG i love wilfire i can even believe it, i am so exited for the second season i hope that Junior and Kris stay together but Matt is still in the picture and they all stay friends. i love those movies where you have to choose between the hot rich guy and they sweet woodsy still hot guy. i have been thinking about it all day and i still can think of who i would choose you know what i mean? i think maybe...dont quote me on this...but i think maybe i would choose Junior eventhough Matt is still sooooooo hot
I love wildfire. It is so awsome. I can't wait for the season finale and season 2. I thought i wanted to be a teacher. Now i want to be a jockey. A great show i must say. I think Ryan Sypek (Junior Davis) is so hot!!!!!!!!!! I would love to see that face a lot more often. I even made a powerpoint presentation about wildfire with this website! I'm addicted
I watched the entire marathon, no kidding. this is my new must see show and i think it is great to have a character like kris for girls to relate to...and we allll can relate to how she feels about junior. man, ryan is one freakin hottie and i love how he plays his role. how could you not love him?
I BEGAN TO WATCH WHEN I FIRST SAW THE PREVIEWS TO THE UP AND COMING SHOW. FROM THE FIRST SHOW I WAS HOOKED I AM A COUNRTY GIRL WHO DEALS WITH CATTLE AND HORSES AND TO WATCH A SHOW THAT CATCHES MY INTESTS IS NOTH SHORT IF AMAZING. iI FIND THAT MATT IS CUTER THAN JUNIOR BUT NONE TH LESS THEY ALL ARE GREAT ACTORS AND ACTRESSES KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK EVERYONE WELL SEE YOU NEXT SEASON!!!!!:)
i love watching wildfire just waiting for 8 o clock to come makes me so excited just seeing the previews and watching kris and junior getting together but with matt's problems really does piss me off but i just love the show because of the unexpected scene or the fight for who's parent is who in the davis household it's just so hectic and can't wait for next season...what will happen next?

I'm so thrilled that a network has finally presented us with a show that is reasonable with reality. I'm glad that they chose a girl that hasn't had such a wonderful past to be the main character. It's good to know that normal problems can be important. I love Wildfire for what it is, a television show that is not fake and doesn't give false truths. A horse enthusiest myself, I love to watch the characters interact with the animals in such a natural way. Right on Michael Piller! Way to go, can't wait for season two
when does 2 season begin
I really LOVE watching Wildfire! The episodes cover so many different important topics with moral value, but at the same time its funny, exciting and not too dramatic. Wildfire has everything you could want in a TV show. I feel bad for people who dont have cable...I didn't think a show about a horse and some family that lived on a farm could be too interesting lol, but its GREAT
I LOVE Wildfire. I have never missed and episode and don't plan to. It would be good without Ryan sypek, but he adds SO much to the show cause he is HOT!!!!
I know i'm like the only one in the whole world who thinks this but...I think Kris should end up with Matt (Please don't kill me) what bugs me is that one second shes like to Matt "Junior is like all the other guys i know, but i could really care about you" and then the next second she and Junior are dating...anyway, I love Wildfire and can't wait for the second season to begin.

Ilooooooooooovvvvve Wildfire so much. It's my all-time favorite show. I'm obsessed with it, and i'm definitely buying all the dvd's. I have a feeling Matt and Kris are gonna get back together. Even though Matt and Junior are both hott, Junior's hotter. Ryan Sypek is definitely the sexiest man alive. I love Ryan Sypek, and i would love to meet him someday.
Wildfire is the best tv show ever for us teenagers. I think that Kris and Junior should reunite cause they make a cute couple man hes so sexy. Dani and Matt should be 2gether also.
